GENERAL INFORMATION

Starting from the European value of linguistic diversity where all languages are equally valuable modes of communication and expression of identity, the international conference PLUSVALOR - Plurilingualism Strengthening Valorisation of Roots aims at raising awareness on the importance of language learning to increase plurilingualism and intercultural understanding in Europe.

The PLUSVALOR conference is organized as part of the European project with the same name coordinated by the Catholic University “Sacro Cuore” in Milano, Italy with a multinational partnership from Hungary, Romania and the Netherlands.

The project is co-financed by the European Union within the Lifelong Learning Programme, Transversal Programmes - Key Activity 2: Languages.

The themes of the conference are:

  1. The Challenges of plurilingualism: theory and practice in Europe
  2. Cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe
  3. Good practices of language teaching in Europe. Case studies.
  4. Plurilingualism and mutual understanding in Europe
  5. Educational policies on the teaching of languages: implementation of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in the European countries.

We invite all interested stakeholders to share their experiences in pluringualism and language teaching by joining our conference.
