Romanian Society for Lifelong Learning is a non-governmental organization founded in 2001. Our mission:" Promoting education throughout the entire life."

- Researches and pertinent information on learning opportunities in the country and in Europe;

- Counselling in the IT and e-learning field ;

Our target group consists of people of any age and social category:

- institutionalized children who haven't had access to techno-logy and Internet;
- people who are facing the danger of being socially excluded, including people with physical and mental disabilities ;
- all the other citizens who because of different reasons could not take advantage of their first chance and want a second one;
- all those who want to keep pace with the times they are living by training themselves throughout their lifetime.

The Institute of Training and Research Studies (IFES), is a foundation of the General Trade Union of Workers which, since 1986, has been offering solutions of various formative needs of companies and workers as vocational training and long life learning.

Since 1986 until 2006, IFES has carried out 87.000 courses, has promoted 10 million hours of formation and has gained the confidence of 1.300.000 students. OUR VALUES

AKLUB Centre of education and counselling is a stable non-profit organisation and its seat is in Krnov in Czech Republic. We concentrate on the development of educational programmes for adults in accord with our mission. We try hard to help people with low level of education and to people that are disadvantaged at the labour market to reach such level of education which would enable them to find a job again. We develop and practically apply new forms of education (e.g. e-learning, distant education).These programmes serve people that want to improve their knowledge and skills

The Berufsfortbildungswerk Gemeinnützige Bildungseinrichtung des DGB GmbH (bfw) was founded in 1953 and is one of the major vocational training and further education institution in Germany, owned by the Trade Union Association DGB. The objectives are to improve career opportunities, avoid periods of unemployment by offering training and retraining and assist structural changes.

 

Bfw has three subsidiary companies and is represented with 30 branch offices and about 150 educational centres all over Germany. In its qualification and training programmes it has about 55.000 participants per year. The offers reach from training in commercial-administrative qualification, manufacturing and technical qualifications, qualifications for education, social work and health professions to individual consulting for corporate clients.

 

In order to implement new and innovative approaches bfw initiates and takes part in projects on a European, national and regional level. Bfw is working with diverse partners (public authorities, trade unions, training bodies, enterprises) in Germany and all other Member States of the European Union.

Pirkanmaa Westcome operates in an area of six municipalities in the West Tampere region in Finland. The Adult Education Unit is an independent department alongside other educational institutes.

Adult Education Unit provides wide-ranging, modern and dynamic adult education in the West Tampere region to approximately 1000 students every year. LPKKY offers a choice of around 100 different courses taking place daytimes, evenings and weekends.

Pirkanmaa Westcome, Adult Education Unit runs vocational, further education and labour market training courses for company personnel as well as organizes apprenticeship studies in the region. Adult Education Unit participates in many national and international projects.

The company deals with consulting services related to adult training, development of foreign language training methods and introduction of modern training methods into practice. Euroinform has many years experience in educational projects cooperation and particularly in Socrates and Leonardo programmes. The company participates as a partner or promoter in projects, mainly in the field of adult training, design and delivery of foreign language teaching materials, including interactive courses and language training to learners with special needs and other disadvantaged groups. The company is a coordinator of a number of Socrates Lingua and Grundtvig projects. Its "Listen and Touch" project received the European Language Label, was selected among the 50 European good practices motivating language learning and has been awarded the silver award of the European Commission. Euroinform is also involved in a number of initiatives related to the training of persons in disadvantaged position on labour market.

GLPM is a small consortium specialising in education-based projects funded by the European Commission. Gareth Long, the manager of the consortium has many years’ experience of working in TCP projects and has worked on behalf of the European Commission in the Technical Assistance Office in Brussels as Project Officer for the Socrates Minerva action.  He is also now an expert assessor for the Commission for its e-Learning, Minerva, Grundtvig, Erasmus Virtual Campuses, Leonardo Partnerships, Transfer of Innovation and K3 Multilateral Projects actions.
